I read part of it but it just didn't grab me.

Who's Art Bell?

You don't know who Art Bell is? Bless your heart, he's the king of overnight radio.

That explains it. I don't listen to overnight radio.

Yeah, Pooh's the main "protagonist," I guess.

IMO, Disney managed to screw the whole "Pooh" thing up, though I suppose he brought it to the attention of the masses...

I used to work a 7pm-3am shift and would listen to Art on the radio. He certainly kept me from falling asleep.

He does a lot of UFO, Chupacabra, face on Mars, Bigfoot, kind of stuff.

But what about the alien chupacabras kidnapping Bigfoot and, on Mars, breeding it with Elvis?

What about them? Art had that story over three years ago. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you incorporated it into your NaNoWriMo story. ;^)

Now, really, that's just too weird.

Off home now. See everyone in an hour.

"breeding it with Elvis?"

Or, breeding it with "elves."

Are you guys also set up with appropriate candy?

Of course! Skittles, Starbursts and Hershey Mini candy bars! We haven't gotten a lot of trick or treaters. There are about 18 kids on our cul de sac, and we get a few from off the street, but not too many because the street our street comes off of does not have sidewalks, so folks don't take their kids walking there. So that leaves us with the little ones on our street and some older ones from the street behind the houses across the street from me. I'm fixing to close up for the night because OUR kids were at friends' houses doing their candy grab, and I have to go pick up our son.

He decided he wanted to be a Ringwraith this year! We had one of those masks that allows to wearer to see out, but you can't really see in. We found him a 'ghoul' robe with a hood, and he had a cape from Darth Vader a few years ago. We found a 'Crusader' sword that looked for all the world like a 'Morgul Blade', and this afternoon, I showed him now to fold duct tape into pieces he could stick onto a pair of gloves to make them look like the articulated metal ones of the Wraiths! They looked GREAT! Our daughter was going to go as a Ranger, but decided today to go as 'Ping', some character from an anime that she likes. She wore her Mega Tokyo t-shirt, put her hair in braided pig tails, and we made her some odd earrings out of some construction paper. They are 5" long tubes with a design on them like the ones that the character wears. We attached the tubes to some screw-on Earrings since her ears are not pierced. They looked pretty good!

I don't go whole hog for Halloween; never did, but the kids always manage to have fun.
