Hullo! Stopping in briefly as I have duties this evening. Quickly to address most of the comments people made to me today, regardless of who made them:
The HTML thing I made for the NaNoWriMo is just what I'm going to use to "publish" my story online so I can share the pain with others. I think the site requires a plain-text copy when it's all done. Anbyone who wants to reuse my design for their own is welcome to it.
I rarely outline or do any kind of synopsis; instead I scribble notes all over things until I have things worked out. More plotting in this one than usual since I had time to plot instead of writing.
Rocket Ship Galileo was Heinlein's first novel, as opposed to short story. It was written, like all his juveniles, for 14 yr old boys. The juveniles also happen to be some of my favorite SF of all time; I enjoy his writing style and love all the scientific bits.
My sibs and I loved VeggieTales; I find myself humming songs as I work.
Did I miss anything? Is the guy they arrested the sniper?

Is the guy they arrested the sniper? Nah....just a couple of illegals.

Oh, well, that's a pity.... hope they get this guy soon.

Okay, we're on our way out, but do you guys think I was overreacting
here? Was I being unkind? Cynical?
No, it's not the religion thread. This person wants to send candy and cards to Virginia children for Halloween. I don't think Hallmark makes a "sorry you were shot at" card.
I think it's a stupid idea. I tried to be blunt but polite, then I sorta flamed...
Gotta run. Later tonite.

The last sentence in the second post was maybe just a tad too much... ;~D
It is different for us when we are not right there... We don't know what would make someone feel good who is going through it. And those people who want to do something should listen to those that are there. I don't think kids would give a whit about cards sent from strangers, you're right.
People just want to do something to fix it or make it better. Sometimes there just isn't anything.

Oops! Sorry about not pinging you to that
political thread. Pretty funny, though...huh? Makes me think that that Chris (Section9) must surely have seen the movie to quote it almost exactly like they did...

Listening to my Lunasa. Nice!
Hey, OT...that chamomile tea is the best. Not only do I feel like it calmed my nerves a bit...it also seems to have straightened out my stomach a bit. I have been having terrible stomach pains for over a year now (off and on) and had tests and everything and it showed normal, a relief but doesn't explain the discomfort. I was right in the middle of one of these stomach pain spells (lasts for weeks usually) and it went away within days of me starting this chamomile! Maybe it was going to go away on it's own (it does that...sponateously just quits hurting) but I don't know...the tea made me just feel better all over!

"Hobbits Love HTML" - New keyword?
To: RosieCotton
I had seen this image 'tag' before, but I was confused because you have the words 'img src' with a space in between the two abbreviations. I thought there were not supposed to be spaces between words.
To: SuziQ
Yes.... there are spaces.. "img src" "font size" "font color" "font face" "a href"
Yup yup!

I'm home alone! Steve took both the boys to Cub Scouts and I'm sitting here eating angel hair pasta with cream sauce.
Mmmm!
Also, listening to Joanie Madden "Whistle in the Wind". Sigh!

Listening to my Lunasa. Nice! Woo Hoo! Which Lunasa CD do you have? I have "Otherworld" and I just LOVE it!
The group reminds me a lot of Silly Wizard, a Scottish group we used to hear a lot of back in the late 80s. I don't even know if they are still a group. But they had that same raucous sound. It is a great CD to put on if you have housecleaning to do!
I'm glad that Sleepytime Tea is working for you for both the relaxation and the stomach pains! They make a Sleepytime Plus which includes 'valerian, an herbal sleep aid. I don't drink that since I started my heart meds, but before, it was even more relaxing than the regular stuff.

Thanks! I'm gonna have to create a file for myself with all these little tidbits in it!

I see! - Hullo! I am browsing and waiting for my brother to drive up with a big ole cabinet (sortof like a big wardrobe) that they didn't want in their garage anymore so I am gonna put it in my barn. I end up with a lot of things I didn't know I wanted! But I think it will be good dust-free storage for stuff out there.
To: 2Jedismom
There he is.... see ya later!
