I feel like I am being audited by the IRS.... ;~D

Aahhhhh.....a nice cup of hot tea and a warm kitty curled up beside me....just the thing for watching cold, dreary rain!I have a warm kitty in my lap now, but no tea. :-( However, I have a nice apple baking in the oven now, so life isn't all bad!

Any questions? Yeah...can you overnight me a batch?
I seriously need to find Mom's lemon glaze cookies. They weren't the type to store well, but they never lasted long enough to need storing! Basically they were sort of soft, mildly lemon cookies that you then drizzled with a (very!) lemony glaze while they were still warm. Mmmm!

I think it's got something to do with the way our CTO at work has networked the firewalls. For some reason, Yahoo is no esta.
I have yet to try it here at home...but I shall.

Where's the stinky dwarf today? busy...I'll 'splain later...
How's the homely dwarf?...

Kevin, I don't mind at all about the dry house, I'm just very impressed with your generosity in making it available to us all. I want to be alert for the movie(s) anyway.
However, if we go out to dinner somewhere, I might have a pint or two, as a proper hobbit should.
Do you think we should have the mini moot?
To: 2Jedismom
I'm OK with the lemon, 2J, put more in if you want. It was probably the secret of lembas anyway.

Sweet day in the morning!
I'm in the Hobbit Hole Yahoo! Group! Huzzah!
Now...I'm there in the chat room...all by my lonesome...
To: ItsOurTimeNow
Don't forget to vote, then, just don't vote for Buchanan by mistake.
To: Sam Cree
Already did!
I'm still holding out high hopes of attending Entmoot, but the road looks difficult.
Like Sam and Frodo at the steps of Cirith Ungol...I must persevere.

I was touched by your story.... how sad to be in a chat room with no one to chat with! - I just went and peeked... but you were gone!
I hope you played with the toys we have there... the files section is good! - Full copies of most of the books are there for download... makes it nice for copying and pasting quotes or searching for something.
To: HairOfTheDog
Yes, I was distracted by the shiny pictures.
I hijacked the "Mordor Charging the Line" picture, and made it my desktop image.
To: HairOfTheDog
I also just checked out the audio section.
I've been scouring the earth for an audio clip of Gandalf facing the Balrog on the Bridge of Khazad-Dum, but to no avail.
"You cannot pass! I am the servant of the Secret Fire...wielder of the Flame of Anor. Dark Fire will not avail you, Flame of Udun. Go back to the Shadow! You shall not pass!"
I think that would be a pretty awesome track to have as my Windows Start-up.
Any ideas?
To: ItsOurTimeNow
Well, I am glad you found your way around! We use the chat room from time to time, for chat views or live events we can all watch together, or just to chit chat. Sometimes announced, sometimes it just happens!
To: ItsOurTimeNow
I don't know how to record sounds... I have the bootleg of the movie, so I could get it, but I don't know what software one would use to make a sound clip, do you? - I would do it, I just don't know how!
To: ItsOurTimeNow; ecurbh
Looks like ecurbh is the one who knows how (looking in the sounds section) Ecurbh? - How do we do this? - See above.
To: Sam Cree; RMDupree
Kevin, I don't mind at all about the dry house....Whew, after the last couple of days chatter I thought my having a dry house would put some people off. I'm glad I was wrong. ;^)
However, if we go out to dinner somewhere, I might have a pint or two, as a proper hobbit should.
And that is entirely your prerogative. I have no desire to control what people do. I just have some things I don't want in my house.
Do you think we should have the mini moot?
I would like to mini moot if we can arrange it. If it is just us FL hobbits then it may be more convenient to do it in Miami since that is where half of us are from.
It would be entirely up to you or RMDupree if you wanted to open your home up to a FoTR viewing before a TTT viewing. We could make it a day trip thing since I am only about 3 hours away so overnight accomodations shouldn't be a factor.
If we do then either soon after the 18th or the first couple weeks of January will be best for me. I will be out of town from 1/13-1/17 (I believe those are the correct dates, I will have to verify them later).

No, I don't know how...it's bugging me. Even if I had the software to rip audio clips, I don't have a DVD-ROM on my PC.
However, if the LOTR soundtrack has audio clips on it, I could very easily rip and mp3 the file with my burner.
Does anyone here know if the Soundtrack has audio clips?
To: ItsOurTimeNow
No - The soundtrack doesn't have the clips.... But I have the movie on my computer is an .avi file. Windows media player... so we just have to figure out how to record from that! Ecurbh knows I bet.
