I think more than a few of us will be abstaining of drinking any pints...except maybe the dregs of a pint of Hagen-Daz or something, eh? LOL

I don't remember when I actually quit drinking...around the time my husband did, I guess...around 11 years ago. I told him "We'll be party people or parent people, but we're not going to be both...just so you know..." He quit immediately and has never picked up another drink since.

After knowing me for the time you have, you can probably tell that moderation is not really in my vocabulary! LOL (I did see the Movie 19 times in the cinema...not counting the times it was at the cheap cinema!) Same with this. I never drank "a little". But surprisingly, it was very easy for me to give up.

I think when I was single and aimless, I was in a kind of self-destruct mode. Then I got married and started looking forward to having a family with the future that I always had hoped for and I just quit. Left that behavior on the side of the road and never looked back except now and then to wonder "What was I thinking???"

I'm a teetotaller by your standards. Sure I like a glass of wine or a bottle of beer with dinner (or popcorn with a movie) but that's where I stop. Can't stand being around drunks so I'll have to leave when Hair and g'nad tie on a few too many. :)

They just played the Titanic theme (with whistle) on a documentary about...the Titanic! (whodathunk?) I haven't seen this one before.
