These quotes you are finding are wonderful! It really shows the care that PJ and Fran took in writing the script--and it makes the losing of "best adapted screenplay" to ABM that much more frustrating. Of all the awards they should have won, that one was the biggest travesty, IMO...
I love the fact that you can keep finding new details in the relationship between the movie and the book--it seems you could dig into this stuff forever and never reach the end of it.

Hmm.... that's just way too fitting. 'Eavesdropping'...bloodhammer...looter...

Yes! I loved that line too! In fact, I pulled out the book to understand what Boromir was saying there, because I couldn't quite catch all the words. When I did, and could read the line and it sounded identical, I thought that was so cool.
Much of that whole scene was word-for-word, which was terrific.

After I posted that I started worrying that billbears was lurking and would ping CD to the thread...and the thermobaric bombs would start dropping again.

Like bootleg videos...[cringe] ;-) Bootleg videos? Oh how terrible! I'm so shocked! :o
;)

We can take a little thermobarbic bombing! I'll bet we could stand up to a nuclear blast if it came to that. After the nuclear war, the only things left will be cockroaches, fruitcake, and the Hobbit Hole. Of course, we'll be left eating the cockroaches and fruitcakes so we may well wish we were dead...

The cockroaches (and the squirrels) will beat us to the fruitcake!
To: Overtaxed
If squirrels survive, we'll eat them. It'll be better than cockroaches, anyway.

Just stockpile the gloves in case they have tularemia (what should the meat temperature of a squirrel be at the end of cooking?) LOL!

Hi! - Checking in from Seattle... You two are quite twisted. Hope I can check in later! Bye!
To: HairOfTheDog
We are not twisted! Well, maybe we are, but life is more fun this way...
OT, I think the squirrels are spying on me. There are about three in a tree out the window and they keep looking at me.

The foliage on the tree outside my window is too thick but I just bet there are squirrels up there....planning something.

You realize of course that there are only 27, no wait, 26 more posts to go until the next "00" milestone.

26...a nice even number. All it would take is 13 double-posts. :)
To: Overtaxed
No double posting... but we'd better pay attention or Carton will get it again!

Agreed! I think a little Smeagol blocking is in order.

Wow, you all have sure been chatty whilest I was at the doctor's office!
I probably won't do the chat thing this time, Friday nights are usually "family night" and sitting at the computer chatting probably won't go over too well. Besides, the house was a wreck and "it was mentioned" to me by the hubby. I really did need to clean it, so I stayed up late (and kept the hubby up too in the process I guess I showed him) and got it pretty spiffy.
I actually went through my clothes and got rid of all the things my mom gave me...coulots and stuff that I wouldn't be caught dead in. Also tossed in the Goodwill bag the sexy nightie that I never wear. (I really do prefer soft cotton "boxer" shorts and a tee, but hubby saw me getting rid of the nightie and thought I was really mad at him!! LOL!)
So chatting is probably out in the evening.

Shotgun...although I have killed a squirrle with a BB gun (the moron didn't have enough sense to climb higher in the tree or hide behind the trunk.)
