I saw it! Actually I stole that from Peggy Noonan; in one of her columns she said somehting about shopping at
Tarjay. I decided to use the frenchified spelling!
We have a Target opeining a couple of miles from us in Oct., but I was over in Worcester today picking up some meds and remembered the Target there. It was in the Toy Aisle, for those who might be looking for it. I had looked in the gift aisle and saw some chess sets, but not the LoTR one. It wasn't til I was on the way out the door I decided to stop at the Cust. Service desk. They were very helpful!

No need to apologize! I'm thrilled! It just took a little effort here in Tulsa, but it turned out ok and makes for a great story, don't you think?
I originally went to one Tulsa Target...the biggest one. They actually had a gap in the toys section that had a pricetag for "Lord of the Rings Chess set" but no sets available. The toys manager said "Oh, I know they are coming in, but I don't when..." That was day before yesterday. Then yesterday I got on the phone and started calling all around, thinking Target didn't have them yet. Then I decided to call the other "smaller" Targets just thinking by chance they'd have one. The one that I found it at was the farthest one from me and in a bad part of town!
But I found it! That's the main thing.

That was just too clean, Rosie. A single sneak precious? Humph and harumph.... I didn't even think about it.
Wouldn't Hair be proud of me?

Sounds like fun! And not toooo expensive, either. There was a Scottish Games not too far from here this past weekend, but it was something like $30 for a one day pass - no can do!

I think my sister went to the Scottish Games while she was living in Tulsa a few years ago. She loves going to stuff like that!

That was just too clean, Rosie. A single sneak precious? Aargh! I miss it by one, and I hadn't even noticed I was close!

Well...it was just laying there and no one seemed to be making a move, so I thought I'd just step in and help myself!
OT must be busy, or I wouldn't have gotten away with it...
To: RosieCotton; All

I found out that the daughter of one of our employees is languishing in the hospital with trichinosis. She's had a high fever for days now and it's still touch and go whether she'll get through this. Muriel is a lovely lady (about 45) and we are all hopeful she'll be OK. The family lost one of their sons to cancer not long ago, it is very hard for them to see their daughter in danger.
If any of you guys can offer a prayer, it will be appreciated a lot.

Hey there HOTDog! Everyone...thanks for the notification...I have seen those pics before, but hey, anything that involves my fav little 'obbit...
Hubby finally broke down and bought a DVD player...we were going to wait until Christmas and get one that could play music CDs as well, but I think he couldnt stand it anymore. I am glad, because I can now watch the DVD I had bought.
Only problem now, the NEIGHBOR is borrowing the DVD...ARGH!
Have been finding out all sorts of little spoilers...its gonna get very very hard for the next few months NOT to look. I swore I was going to avoid it this time, but old habits die hard.
