But I couldn't control my laughter when Yoda and Count Dooku (Christopher Lee/Saruman) were fighting.

Ditto! And we weren't the only ones... there was a lot of laughter in the theater I saw it in!

I suppose the proper thing to do would be to spam the thread with "30 Reasons I Did Not Like The Matrix." ;^)

Hehehe. Must have been all the commercials. After "Elrond"'s welcome to______(where ever it was), I got busy doing other things. I seem to recall that he escaped (was rescued), they had a plan to save the world, there was a bunch of fight scenes, and the good guys won. It all seemed a bit drab and depressing. I don't know if I can come up with 30 reasons.

scene: The Mines of Moria. Pippin knocks a skeleton down the well. After it finishes clattering, the sound of drums comes echoing up the well.

Pippin: What's that?

Gandalf: That is the sound of inevitability...

BTW, have you noticed how people have turned on each other over on "that" forum?

How did you notice?!?!?!?! Were you over there lurking?

Actually the only hot spots right now seems to be Calvinist/Catholic and especially hot right now is the Calvinist/Mormon.

Must have been all the commercials.

I'll agree with that, I found it very difficult to watch on TNT... they really loaded up the commercials, it seemed.

Hi, guys. You've been having fun today - whistles, puberty, and Matrix! What I miss at work...

I got my first paycheck today! Almost $500 when the gubmint was done with it.

Sounds like there are some really good parents on this thread. My parents did a mostly good job with me, I think; there were some things I disliked at the time but appreciate now. Still, I've always had this feeling that my mother doesn't know where I come from at all, which is sad because I'm just exactly like Dad, so if she doesn't understand me, how can she understand Dad?

hehehehe - Hullo Jen!

Perhaps your Mom understands perfectly and is trying to fix the things in you that she can't fix in your Dad... [wicked]

I am most like my Dad too in person, which in a lot of ways is just fine. But there was a lot about my mom that I wish I could have picked up.

Er... they don't need fixing. I just mean she doesn't understand my ambition, or my love of computing, or how I can read all those dense volumns of hard science fiction all day long...
