Well, I need to say goodnite all.

School starts tomorrow so Corin Jr. catches the bus at 7:10 a.m. and he's still awake (so I need to go turn THAT tv off)

Little one starts daycare tomorrow and he's still awake...

Plus it sounds like the upstairs toilet is still running...I'd better go catch it.

g'nite. see you in the a.m.

Groannnn...all I want to see is Donald Duck blasting some chipmunks!

This was from the Uncle Remus stories of Joel Chandler Harris. The song is sung by an old black field hands to the white children of the plantation owner. I don't know how the PC types running Disney allow this on their property, but it adds to the enjoyment to laugh at their exasperation.

I took a golf class in college...to meet guys - for shame!

This must mean (I hope) that you are a FEMALE! It took me a month to find out that OT was one, and a couples of weeks to find out the terrible truth about Hair.

Yeah, that would be amusing (It must be okay if a PC type is running it /sarcasm) but I still can't stand the song.

Hi Penny... gonna try you here even though you are so scarce! - I downloaded this copy of Spiderman (from the other thread), and Jen wants a copy. Problem is, it is in one 1.13 GB .avi file and I need to split it to fit it on two CDs... I downloaded Virtual Dub, which is what I think you have used, but Virtual Dub can't open it. Any other suggestions for splitting it?

Thanks for the writing update! :) I asked, because I've started writing something myself, and I have no idea right now where it's going to go.

As for the pieces that don't fit... my unsolicited advice: rearrange what you can, keep what works, and throw out what doesn't. But, don't throw it too far... you never know when a particular scene that doesn't work one place may be perfect someplace else, perhaps even in a completely different story....

Since you've already signed off for the night, I'll wish you good night!

I am trying to write myself but having trouble. Mostly my characters won't behave. They seem to have minds of their own...

You are right, I missed that. I was a little worried about having a case of Ian McKellan syndrome here in the HH.

I like mosquitos

Eww, I don't mind them during the day when I can see 'em to smack 'em, but they used to drive me crazy at night... especially when one would get into my bedroom in the middle of the night, buzzing around, buzzing and buzzing, never quite able to tell where they were, never landing long enough to give 'em a good smack... grrrr....

Oh, uhm, good night! :)

Oh stop it now!

I have been suffering with my old TV a long time. I am sitting here in awe at how rich the color is on this new one is. Their wardrobes, everything. Colors I hadn't noticed until now.

Now aren't you sorry you didn't put that $300 down on the $10K model? Maybe by now it is down to $9K.

I hear that a lot, but I don't understand it. You're the person in charge... if your characters won't behave, fire them and bring in a new batch!

As for me, it's my mind that seems to have a mind of its own. It doesn't want to write the story that I have meticulously plotted and outlined... it wants to write the story that I haven't plotted, outlined, or developed characters for. I have no idea where this story is going, but it's really easy to write at the moment...

If we don't do the premier, then it makes sense to wait till late January or so.

I think that would be better all around. It would give us a chance to have seen it a couple of times and really enjoy the interesting parts with other folks who have also seen it! Then the discussions could have some real depth becuase we'd have had time to think about it!

It would also reduce the pressure on those with families who don't want them to be gallavanting off just before Christmas!

Since the theme park bit isn't helping to entice you to Florida, did I mention what was about 80 miles north of me?

Could always stop and lay a wreath for #3 on the way down to the entmoot.

Anyone know a really good reason I should go to Philadelphia?

To get away from Pittsburgh?

You know, we're all making the assumption that ROTK will be released at Christmastime... but it ain't necessarily so. The official movie site lists "Christmas 2002" for TTT, but only "Coming 2003" for ROTK. There's always the chance that the release date could be moved up... say, to summertime, maybe.

If you watch the first teaser trailer on disk two I believe it says that RoTK will be released Christmas 2003. Although I reserve the right to be wrong.

BTW, no mosquito problem in the winter, too dry.

There is a chance of that, but I don't think so... I bet it is another Christmas film... If it is summer, I am not going south! Y'all would have to come North!
