"what a J stroke is"
You know, the way you work the paddle, when canoeing.
It was definitely a compliment, I like the elves.
I'm waiting for the image of Arwen in a French maid's outfit to be posted, though... I'm probably skating on thin ice here, though, as the men's club is not in session at the moment.

Would you know one if you saw one?I don't think I shall answer that. Corin, want to input? BTW, that's one of my favorite verses you quoted there....

The interpreter that I knew well was one of the kindest souls you would ever meet. He lost his wife and children in a torched village while he was imprisoned... And it always impressed me that folk like him were able to withstand the worst of abuse and cruelty in people, survive, and be full of joy and appreciation of life.
He was trying to start up a non-profit when I last saw him, to send wheelchairs and crutches back to Vietnam for amputees and other injured survivors who were there. He said such basics were rare, and family members carried and pulled them in carts. Many were just bed-bound. He started just buying wheelchairs second-hand and shipping them there. He really believed in it and I wonder if he got an organization going.

I always enjoy your comments too... dazzle us with discussions of arrow-tossing any time!

Well, I guess if we had as many years as our friend Legolas has, we could all be better archers. It's as addictive as Freerepublic and the Hobbit Hole. Cost is quite low, if one makes their own tackle. The time factor, well, it is considerable.

wait a minute, Smurfs look much more like dwarves than elves.

I'm waiting for the image of Arwen in a French maid's outfit to be posted, Rats! I can't find one.

Well, I'm hoping to retire to the Virginia hills, and if I pull that off, I'll probably try to take the time to try and learn it.
I'm intrigued by your remark about making your own tackle and wonder how much of it one might actually make.

It's as addictive as Freerepublic and the Hobbit Hole. Ummmm.....ever think of taking up the tin whistle?

I'm probably skating on thin ice here, though, as the men's club is not in session at the moment. Speaking of the men's club...HOKIES WIN! 26-8.

Sorry Sam...searching for "arwen...maid...liv...tyler..." (and several combinations) produced no upstairs maids...

Posting pictures from the Bakshi Abomination is forbidden and punishable by up to three years in Mordor, or a seven-Dwarven-ring fine. You have been warned. Also don't remove the tags from your pillows.

The man that spoke today, hopes that one day the country will open up to Christianity and the folks he is working with can return. He made a few references to how much Americans have.
I won't give the graphic details, but because he was so effective at evangelization in prisons, they once put him in a women's prison with prostitutes. He was then assigned to clean the toilet. Of course they recycle everything and that was his job...

What then is the punishment for posting pictures from the Rankin&Bass horrors?

wait a minute, Smurfs look much more like dwarves than elves. From smurf.com (I won't even link it): Papa Smurf with his white beard is the oldest of all: I had just turned 542 when the chanterelle mushrooms came up last June! He said that in October 1958 when the story first appeared in the weekly Le Journal de Spirou. So that makes him - 542. Smurfs never get older.
Sounds elfish to me...
To: Corin Stormhands
Elfish?
Elfish?! Tolkien would have your head if he heard you use such a term! The delicacies of language require the use of the word
elvish when referring that anything like or pertaining to Elves.
Besides, Dwarves live a few hundred years... the Smurfs could be mutated Dwarves... after all, there are no female smurfs, isn't that right?

Short, stubby, and BLUE. No, none of the elves I know answer that description.

Evening all... having a good weekend here, sounds like y'all are too.
Sam, I managed to find a picture of Arwen doing housework, but she's not wearing a French maid's outfit, unfortunately... click here if you dare!
