Scott spilled beer and Doritos all over the place, and LCS was smokin' cigars... Yeah I saw that! - that doesn't bother me.... better you party and carouse here than elsewhere! In fact, if I wouldn't have been out talking to that lady about the pony, I'd have joined you!

How do the online classes work? What type of classes are you taking? I'm working through the Asbury Online Institute (www.aoi.edu). It's set up for continuing ed for their graduates or others, so it's self-paced. I do a unit, write a paper and submit it with the CEU form. Once I'm through the certificate process, I hope to be in a position to switch over and go for the M.Div. online.

Good on yuh...I've considered working for some kind of ministry when I retire...don't plan on goin to seminary though...not sure I have the personality to be a pastor...whaddaya think...From what I "know" of you, you may make a great youth pastor. We have an ex-jarhe....uh, Marine as our youth pastor. He has been here 10 years, I just hope he stays until my kids are able to graduate.
He was an enlisted man but before he went in the ministry he received an appointment to......um......what is the Marine version of West Point or the Naval Academy? Anyway, that is where he was headed. He ended up turning the appointment down because of his call to the ministry. He ended up staying in the reserves until his commitment was up. Now he is in full-time ministry.
Don't worry about having a rough personality. You can reach people that wouldn't normally listen to your "stereotyical" pastor. That is a great gift. Use it wisely my friend.

And I'm wide awake...now! I bought a bagel with olive cream cheese on the way to work, got it here and took a big bite. Turns out it's jalapeño creamcheese. Oops.Good morning Rosie! - I usually use coffee for that, but I guess your way works!

And white guys, with a few notable exceptions over the years (Terms of Endearment, etc.), pick white guy movies with strong leading male roles. So, for now, those are counted out. So do we explain last year's Best Actor and Actress as 'white guy guilt'?
I saw both 'Training Day' and 'Monster's Ball'; two of the most depressing movies I have ever seen! Denzel and Halle were good, but I can't really compare because I didn't see any of the other movies from which actors were nominated, except for FoTR, of course. Maybe the guys just liked Halle's bodacious ta-tas, which were prominently displayed in 'Monster's Ball'.

Since there are no lectures do you have to do a ton of reading?

So do we explain last year's Best Actor and Actress as 'white guy guilt'? Pretty much. And somehow, the media still glosses over the fact that the parent that stayed with Halle Berry was her white mother...
Hattie McDaniel would've grabbed that father by the hoo-has and given him what fer....

Since there are no lectures do you have to do a ton of reading? Yeah, there's quite a bit of reading. But some of the modules are audio recordings. I've not done one of those yet.

My first Celtic / something-other-than-bluegrass festivalSome 'Breton' music, perhaps?

hehehe - Yes - the pony stays for now. There have got to be a lot of kids in town like your daughter ksen! Parents not willing to take the plunge and get the daughter a horse, but would like for her to hang around them.
That is how I got started! - Just hanging around a neighboring farm. They eventually gave me my first horse. I don't know how to seek out those kids when they don't appear on their own. A kid whose parents can't exactly afford a horse but is willing to help out and learn would be wonderful.
She would be good at pulling a cart, if a bit intimidated by crowds at this point 2J! I looked at a pony cart that was for sale once... thinking and wondering.

I knew I missed somebody in my "good morning" message!
Welcome back! Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip!

Parents not willing to take the plunge and get the daughter a horse, but would like for her to hang around them. Probably more likely they're saying "Stay away from the horse lady...she hangs around with elves..."
To: Corin Stormhands
Yeah - But I don't think the neighbors know that I am weird. I don't wear the cloak that often!

Some 'Breton' music, perhaps? As I understand it there will be Cape Breton music (Jerry Holland is one of the bigger names there), some Irish / Scottish influenced music, Quebecois / Acadian, and a smattering of other music thrown in. Should be a blast!

Any updates on Bay? How's he doing now?
To: RosieCotton
Did I kill the thread? [poke, poke] Thread, you OK?
To: RosieCotton
hehehehe - Did we all run away? - Sorry - I got busy here at work! Funny thing!
Bay is doing a lot better, thanks for asking! - His knees are healing nicely! He will have a couple weeks of pasture rest with no work, and then he will be fine I think. We are lucky!
To: HairOfTheDog
Good news about Bay.
I'm doing my best to avoid work... just 4 more hours to go and I'll be in the clear...
