Ok, got it....... I bought the movie on Thursday for my husband and that is all that has been on our tv! lol
I do remember the "pints" now........thanks for the picture!

You're welcome! I'm indulging in a brew myself right now.
To: Overtaxed
What kind are you drinking?
To: WhyisaTexasgirlinPA
Wild Goose Amber
To: Overtaxed
Is that a regional beer? I love Amber Bock (Michelob bought that company)

Friday night is beer time in Hobbit Land.
Unfortunately, the carbs make me work that much harder in the gym in my pre-ski season workouts.
Can't we get Gandalf to invent no-carb beer????
To: WhyisaTexasgirlinPA
Is that a regional beer? Brewed by Wild Goose Brewery in Frederick, Maryland.

No carb beer??? What's the point! :)

No carb beer??? What's the point! :)If I wanted water, I'd drink water.

It's just the pain from those gut-crunches can get to exceed the pleasure from the pints. At my age those pints go straight to the tummy. So I'm gonna go see Gandalf, no matter what you guys say.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Well Gandalf did have a way with old Barliman's beer. Perhaps he could do something for you.

If I wanted water, I'd drink water. mmmmmmmmmm, water......

Hi, and welcome to the Hobbit Hole! Always nice to have another Texan here, even if she is in PA. ;)

Whyisa! - How did you get talked into hangin' here? We drink ours in pints, and we are more fun than most.
LCS focuses on the business at hand most of the time, and I think he is bored with us and recruiting new members! Welcome!
Hullo all! Just back from the tavern, pints and Pound O Steak were had at Trospers in Tumwater! - Yum!
Scott! - My favorite ex-boyfriend was a big-time skier. Maybe still is. We traveled the country skiing in the most fabulous places when he was racing. He is not a name you would have heard of, but he was high enough in the rankings that K2 bought him new skis every year. I would take his last-years pair and make them my own.
So the last few years I have been skiing on 210's or 215's that were really nice skis and probably longer than my skill. But I became a better skiier being with him. I need to be with someone better than myself to be my best.

Hi! Back from work early, I bailed out because the three closers are the most useless, shiftless, worthless, nasty piles of human waste I've ever met. I so much prefer my other job. At least there, the people are polite, Christian humans, even if one of them is an e-vile Arminian (just kidding, Corin and any other evil Arminians out there ;-) )
How is everyone tonight?

You're welcome, nice to meet you as well! Yes, we do live in Austin... I'm a transplant from Northern Michigan, but my wife (Rose in RoseBear) is a native San Antonio girl. We've been in Austin nearly 13 years now, and despite it being a liberal haven, we still enjoy it here! :)

Actually, I was invited here by 2Jedismom........ I was once a homeschooler (may be again soon) and I am on their list........
I have been welcomed very nicely, thank you........

Good evening!
Recovering from a wonderfully huge meal of Italian food here... wondering if I've recovered enough to go and try some dessert! Chocolate lasagna, mmmmmm.....
