Awwww....poor rejected puppy!
I'm no dog expert, but it appears she's labeled you as the "alpha dog," or the head of the pack (don't tell Steve).
You might want to consider obedience school. We didn't for our lab and regret it now. He won't ask anyone but me to take him out (unless I'm not there and he's desperate). And he won't poop except when I take him out.
But for now, have the boys feed her and take her out (even if you're with them). If she recognizes that she'll only get food from them, then she'll change her allegiance.
Like I said, I'm no expert. But you need to address these things while she's young.
It's a reference from the movie Shrek. The villain is torturing the Gingerbread Man, who ends up spilling the beans on the Muffin Man ("who lives on Drury Lane"). Have to see the movie to get the full effect. :)
Now this sounds like a great movie! I'm going to rush right out with my kids to see this!
Sorry, I knew that. I was giving you the next line...
"Do you know the Muffin Man?"
"The Muffin Man?"
"The Muffin Man."
"Do you know the Muffin Man?"
"Who lives on Drury Lane?"
The Gingerbread Man does get his revenge at the end of the movie.
DOH! If it'd been a brick it woulda hit me!
Time for me to do some work... have a good day all!
We had that same problem with my son. Another thing she sees is them on her level. She's figuring out where she fits in all of this. She'll learn. But let the boys do what they can. She'll eventually learn to go in the crate on her own and Matthew can tell her it's time...
Shrek is actually a lot of fun. There are some booger and flatulence references (if that's a problem yet for the boys). But it's a funny movie and there's some humor that the boys won't get just yet. Get the video, but be sure to watch the additional footage at the end.
Same with my wife and daughter. Except the part about being "bigger" fans. I think I will always outweigh them. ;^)
You take your horses and dogs to the Capitol Forest (our own Mirkwood! With Beorn-like -- as in black -- bears and all)? I've got a couple of Dalmatians that like to run out there -- they get a big kick (not literally) out of running by the horses. Looks like you've got quite a crew of dogs as well.
I just thought you meant the dogs and all that...
A shorter distance to SS eligibility (not short enough, I'll never see it!) than back to my single days.
I have a challenge for all you hobbits out there, and if its one that belongs in the Green Dragon, I will happily oblige taking it there, but you guys are just nutty enough to handle it I think:
I want to start a discussion that concerns events in Two Towers with Pippin and the palantir.
Here are my questions:
1) (and this goes back to Lothlorien/FOTR actually) What choice do you think Galadriel offered to Pippin?
2) What do you think Pippin meant when, after looking in the palantir, he said "he looked and I understood."
3) In what way do you think Pippin was affected by the palantir?
These are just some beginning questions I have. I think I have already introduced myself as being rather obsessed by the blighter, but am enjoying myself thoroughly in some deep deep discussion by the fandom thread in Imladris.net about the situation coming up in TTT.
Merry and Pippin await your answer...
