I think she sees me herding the boys around and has figured out I'm the boss. I undermine the kid's authority over her.

We just let her out into the backyard. I should just let Matthew do this? (Josh is really too young...) I crate her when I leave. Matthew can't do this, but he can let her out.

We had that same problem with my son. Another thing she sees is them on her level. She's figuring out where she fits in all of this. She'll learn. But let the boys do what they can. She'll eventually learn to go in the crate on her own and Matthew can tell her it's time...
