Good evening, night owl hobbit checking in. All is well, I see, a nice eclectic discussion of "stupid aliens invade earth" science fiction. I'd add John Ringo's series, starting with A Hymn Before Battle to that - I love the books, though it's not finished yet. The fight scenes are cool and there's power armor that comes right out of Heinlein...

He is really a computer script that pops up when we near the nice round numbers and generates randomness to gain the Precious. It's a conspiracy by Gollum and other people. Do you know lack of sleep is kinda like being loopy on medication?

BTW, I am Hobit-illiterate and fell asleep during Bored with the Rings (I thought I was trapped in a video gane where you beat the Boss at one level, only to find another level waiting). A flashback to my Zelda playing days.
