re Jeeps and Dwarves, perhaps if we are refering to the old jeeps, the 4 cyl, 3 speed, fold down windshield, manually turned lock out hubs, then I could see it; mine would be the vintage as well, say a 1952 Dodge Power Wagon. (if I knew how to post a picture I would) you still occasionally see them, rural fire depts and the logging and mining folks, hmmmm. maybe we're on to something here.

Welcome back! Now if we can get Penny's connection straightened out we can start the official TTT discussion hint hint hint Hear Hear! Welcome back LCS!
You were missed!
To: osagebowman
heeheehee
Yes I am definately thinking of the old army-type jeep. Can picture a bunch of dwarves putzing along in a jeep...

Here is a pic of a power wagon
To: Overtaxed
I'll have to check them out although I don't do "cute". You must "do cute" a little or you would not have suggested a Beetle!

You were missed!Missed you all. It will probably take a couple of days until I am reasonably caught up around here.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
You have missed everything, and nothing at all!
To: HairOfTheDog
You must "do cute" a little or you would not have suggested a Beetle! It was Bear who suggested a Beetle as a hobbit car.
About the jeep....I'd think a dwarf would want something with more than 4 cylinders.
To: HairOfTheDog
HOD - you nailed the jeep alright, really close on the power wagon but not that model, the condition is spot on, the usual way you see them. Thanks.
To: Overtaxed
It was Bear huh?.... (correcting crib notes)
4 cylinders is plenty for those little jeeps! They don't weigh much more than my bicycle!
To: osagebowman
Yeah - the powerwagon is in the right condition... the jeep I chose for the pic is a bit too pretty... needs to be weathered a bit.
To: HairOfTheDog
Yup, I was the guilty party re: Beetles.
Evening all... just got home from the movies, and grocery shopping. Eating dinner and settling down for the night.
Road to Perdition was very good!

Everyone went to bed early! We had a barbeque and then watched a video - The Majestic. It was surprisingly good. Now I'm settling in for bed, but am debating whether to stay up and finish this chapter of the JavaScript book. Or, dig out a novel from a box or my chest... hmm...

Everyone went to bed early! Yes, they heard the great news that I am back in the Hobbit Hole, and this had a completely soporific effect on all and sundry! I could sell myself as a sleeping pill, I think!
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Hullo, LCS, I'm glad you're back! Sorry they all went to bed, I guess they have more time than I do. These days I can only really be online late at night...

Aww... LCS you know how sleepy and quiet Sundays are around here... I have been napping off and on all afternoon!
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Glad you're back...but I still nose you... etc.
To: HairOfTheDog
I have been napping off and on all afternoon! It begins to seem that we have all been turning into Bilbo Baggins! Hopefully we will not follow him by making unseemly grabs for the Ring, except at posts divisible by '00', of course.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Posts divisible by "00"? That is quite a feat! Let me know how you do that, I know some mathematicians who would be interested.

You know Jen, she's a stickler for those details.
I am watching Born on the Fourth of July.
I have never seen it before. I am about an hour and a half into it. I liked it so far but I have a feeling that is about to change. Help me.
oh.
