Say! How did you get an infrared pic of me? Do I have to put more tinfoil on the windows??
Sleep well! :)

Good night Hobbitses. Here is something to add to your dreams of a time that exists in our imaginations. Sweet dreams.
FANCIES
Dark and pressing down
Mist and fog creep in
Slowly moving towards me
Enveloping me, embracing me
As I walk through the woods
Making me wish and dream
Of a long ago time
When make-believe
Walked on Earth.
If I stop to listen
Maybe I'll catch
The whisper of a forgotten song
Sung by a forgotten people.
Perhaps I will hear
The deep rumble of a dwarfs shout,
The merry sound of hobbit laughter,
The tinkling sound of elfish voices.
I hurry to turn the corner,
Peer around a tree.
Maybe Ill catch a glimpse
Of the little people.
Maybe Ill look and see
The elves gracefully dancing
In the flickering firelight
Their hair and clothes
Flowing behind them.
The fog lifts from around me.
I see I am no longer
In a far away place.
That all these visions
Were vivid only
In my fantasy.

I love it! It reads like what I think a whistle sounds like.

Well, you all have left. I only got in 10 minutes ago, had to work quite late. Thanks for all the good wishes, friends, I'll let you know how it pans out, but I need to go to bed right now. See you all later! It's Friday now! Yippee!

I am still around! - Hullo! - Good evening!

Oh! I'd thought you were in bed, where I should be if I could get through to some sites I need to check. I'm tired but on the whole, happy. I've been calculating and I think I can make England next summer, if I don't spend much money anywhere else...
How are you?

What do you want to see in England... What makes you want to go there? (not that there is anything wrong with that! LOL)
To: HairOfTheDog
Everything! London and Oxford and Stratford-on- Avon; Stonehenge and the Tower and London Bridge. All the history and stuff they have there, and places where famous people walked. Probably 95% of my ancestors came from England, and, well, I want to visit. I also have some family there, my English grandmother has a sister and brother who are still alive and might put me up. And I have friends who I'd like to meet.
Basically, I've never been much of anywhere. England's a good place to start, since I can talk to the natives pretty easily.

Well, those are all good reasons to go! - I don't have any of those ties (except the language part!) so it wouldn't have occured to me!
You are much more a child of civilization than I am... If I were to plan an elaborate trip, it would be to see natural wilderness sites... I would love to go to Kenya and see lions and zebras and elephants in the wild, guided by native trackers on photo safari. Go where I can see huge expanses of lands mostly untouched and unchanged by people. "Natural" history (not that humans aren't natural, but you know what I mean)
I am not that interested in human history and human creations. I know that sounds strange... and I am not sure those are the right words...
I did study Stonehenge... and think the idea of it is neat... as well as all the other ancient cultures that built things to study the sky.
To: JenB
You remember me, the Luddite ;~D I bet Used to be neat... but a good writer I like thinks it started going downhill in the 40s... Dirty machines and factories there now... hehehehe

I procrastinate all the time.I know what you mean. I was going to reply to this post earlier, but I never got around to it.
