I've been enjoying the flap about the gash. I can't see the difference between the two pics myself, except that the newer one is lighter.

I got the Precious! Okay...semi-precious

Oh Lord, get me a valium...
;-)

I have no opinion on squirrels, secret or otherwise.
Don't get me started on deer, though.

A deer ate my hostas But only the varigated variety
To: Overtaxed
Squirrels may not have any redeeming qualities besides their cuteness, but deer don't even have that going for them.
IMHO, anyway.

My computer has been down for over a weekThanks for the post! Have been wondering where you disappeared to!

Moose bites can be nasty.

A moose bit my cheese.

Deer tastes good when prepared properly. I've had venison every way it can be prepared, and to my taste buds it's just plain nasty. Alway has been, even before I disliked deer.

Time for me to see if I need to swim home... later all (hopefully!)

Did you guys get your invitations to the Yahoo group? Is there anyone else that still isn't "IN"?
To: g'nad
Oops... I spells your name wrong on that last post and couldn't figure out what was wrong! (I thought you had TWO, not just ONE, if you know what I mean)
Did you get the instructions for the Yahoo group?

Is anyone here tonight? Did the squirrels get you?
Does anyone know anything about getting loans for school? I mean, can I, as a 19 year old undergrad with no assets, get $14,000 worth of loans? Some of you have been through this sort of thing, yes?

I am here, my friend left a little bit ago, and I was about to hit the couch with your story!
I don't really know about student loans, but I know that you can get them fairly easily. The college probably has an information center that will have the forms and help with getting all your t's crossed! - Do they?

You need a student loan. As Hair suggested, check with the financial aid office of the college you'll be attending (if they have a website, look for student loan information there too). You might also check with your bank and/or credit union, too, as many offer student loans which are guaranteed by your state's student loan agency. You might also check into getting a grant and/or scholarship. Many state and federal grants and scholarships are based on performance on a standardized test (such as the SAT) and your family's economic standing.
