They will have to rise prices but that is not going to cover the difference unless the price increase is steep

We are seeing the play out in the US with our minimum wage hikes

Companies like Wendy’s fast food are being forced into bankruptcy while stronger companies like McDonalds are rushing automation into service to cut staffing

Even McDonalds is hard pressed and has hiked prices by 100% on some items

Or he just needs to increase the sales price of the pies and pass the labor increase on to his customers. Since the law affects everyone equally in Britain, unless pies are cheaper if imported from abroad, the playing field is level for every other business selling pies in the U.K.
