A Florida woman is accused of tracking down her boyfriend -- whom she allegedly believed was meeting with another woman -- and shooting her in a vehicle driven by the man, authorities said.
According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office online booking records, Katherine Dale Kelly, 24, of Cocoa, was arrested on Saturday.
Brevard County online court records state that Kelly was charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied vehicle and the use or display of a firearm in commission of a crime.
According to an arrest affidavit filed by the sheriff’s office, Dale told investigators she was trying to “make a point” when she suspected her boyfriend was cheating on her again.
According to an arrest affidavit, deputies responded to an address in Port St. John at about 2:34 a.m. ET after receiving a call about a shooting. Deputies discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder and transported her to an area hospital.
Investigators learned that the woman and Kelly’s boyfriend were sitting in a gray Volkswagen Passat in an open field next to a residence, the affidavit stated. The victim told police that Kelly walked up to the vehicle and shot her through the front passenger window. Deputies interviewed Kelly, who said that the vehicle was hers and that her boyfriend took it without her permission, the affidavit stated. Kelly said she paid for an Uber to find her vehicle and carried a Glock 43 handgun in her purse. After finding the vehicle, Kelly said she approached it, assuming her boyfriend was in the vehicle. She added that as she approached the passenger side of the car, headlights came on and the vehicle began moving forward. At that point, Kelly said she removed the gun from her purse and fired a round in “self-defense,” the affidavit stated.
She later amended her story to deputies, stating that she wanted to “make a point” since she assumed her boyfriend “was cheating on her again.” Kelly added that she believed in “karma,” since the victim should have known that the man she was with had a boyfriend," the affidavit stated. Kelly’s boyfriend told deputies that she had given him permission to take the vehicle, and that he tried to evade her after receiving text messages and phone calls. Kelly remains in the Brevard County Jail without bail, online records show. She will appear in court for an arraignment on Nov. 24.

To a woman, another woman willing to shoot a rival is near peak preselection.
(Well, she certainly looks determined)
So....is she available now?
I meant, after time served..
j/k
> Oh, she'd never hurt Chad, Pookie, or Ray Ray - but that other trollop? She's gotta go.
My ex used to tell me if I ever cheated on her, she'd shoot me. Her rationale was that she knew my good points and couldn't blame another woman for seeing them also, so if I was fooling around, it was on me, not the other woman.
Fortunately it never came to that. :-)
“”AI ain’t perfect by any means””
AI writes/files the reports we read from whatever source? I don’t trust it for ANYTHING but writing the news is quite far out!!
Honey, take the hint; he’s a louse and doesn’t want to be with you anymore.
“”since the victim should have known that the man she was with had a boyfriend,””
THAT’S supposed to make sense?
Just an example of another journalism graduate who learned nothing.
A liberal woman, with AOC powers of deduction, catches her boyfriend and his ‘side-girl’ in flagrant delicta and pulls out a pistol, saying “this is going to be a double murder and a suicide!”
She points the gun at her own head and when the other two gasp, she says, “Go ahead and laugh. You’re next!”
She’s a Keep-away-from-’er ...
Not bad looking. Must have been cray-cray.
If she wanted to keep her man, she didn’t go about it the right way.
I’m figuring he won’t be visiting her in prison.
My fiancee told me if I cheated on her, she’d cut it off.
I told her if she cheated on me, I’d pack it full of concrete.
Married > 30 years.
Respect has to go both ways.
I take it her name isn’t Lorena Bobbitt.
I’m curious to see who this Lover Boy is .
Cheating again ? Baby, you are shooting the wrong person.
And I’m not Al Capone (although he was apparently partial to baseball bats).`
My point, such as it is: respect and fidelity work both ways. If your girl starts making that kind of “threat”, respond in kind. If she gets the point, good. She’ll probably turn out OK. If not ... ditch the bitch.

“he’s a louse and doesn’t want to be with you anymore”
Oh I dunno about that. I think it’s the opposite.
He wants to have his cake and eat it too...apparently because he’s done this before and girlfriend #1 is still hanging around he can hook up with a side squeeze effectively creating a starter harem.
This mess has got an episode of Jerry Springer written all over it.
Gimme three steps...
Yeah, she’s real pretty.....wonder what the “Other woman” looked like.
Being that the gal brought out a gun and blasted away, whatever his reason looks like was right to distance himself.
