President Donald Trump’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, is reportedly out of a job. Fox News’s Aishah Hasnie reported, “A senior White House official tells @pdoocy Katie ZACHARIA is “transitioning out” of the press secretary position.”
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
She’s out over nothing........well, maybe Melania got a load of her in those bikini pics.
You mean the new mother with a babe in arms that needs love and nurturing?
That Karoline Leavitt?
She flubbed her opening statement
“”TRANSLATION: He wanted her gone, but he wanted it to be on her terms.””
***
Lol! I hate to break it to you, Carmac... but you need to hand in your turban, broken translator and your cracked crystal ball. And... your mind-reading abilities suck. Just sayin....
i had high hopes but the way she stumbled through her first appearance was just painful. Nothing more useful to say about it.
No, I mean somebody who simply preformed the job like she did?
Imagine that.
Good one...I like the “yellow cake” routine...
Carolyn Leavitt was a hard act to follow.
Zacharia’s opening statement and briefing were widely criticized as a “train wreck” by media analysts and administration insiders. Her 14-min debut, had several specific blunders and issues :
• Stilted Delivery: Zacharia spent the first eight minutes reading nervously and stiffly from a prepared script, making minimal eye contact with the press corps.
• The “Dept of War” Gaffe: During her remarks, she paused and smiled after mistakenly referring to the Dept of Defense as the “Dept of War”.
• “My President” vs. “My Husband”: While attempting to answer a question regarding how she balances her demanding new job with her family life, she tripped over her words and said, “So my president — excuse me, my husband,” causing widespread mockery online.
• Avoidance of Questions: After reading her notes, she took questions from only three pre-selected conservative outlets before abruptly ending the session after less than 15 minutes.
Zacharia later defended the performance, stating she had awoken at 3:00 AM to prepare and that the briefing was intentionally designed to yield the floor to Donald Trump.
However, the rocky debut—combined with a mounting controversy over whether she misrepresented her credentials as a barred attorney—led to Trump firing her just five days into the job.
She did it often on social media and actual media.
Um, yeah, because he didn't want to get shot again.
You will not find another like Karoline Leavitt. She was an investigative journalist who investigated all the anti Trump operations over the last 10 years
She knows all the details and where all the bodies are buried.
Plus she at her best facing down hostile , adversarial media operatives and she really loves putting them in their place.
Plus she several years as a Trump media spokesperson after he left office and she honed her skills during the Trump lawfare and 2024 election campaign. She was ready for the job on day one.
It's really hard for an outsider to come into the WH Press Sec job cold and hit the ground running.
This is why an insider almost always gets the job when the current press sec moves on Karoline Leavitt was in a position to break in and prep her replacement in a smooth transition, which should have happened a month or so ago but didn't
Throw them in the deep and and let them sink or swim is not a recipe for success in the White House Press battle ground. Nobody can do that and I remember even Tony Snow had a rocky first few press conferences
Zacharia would have been perfect for the job but she was set up to fail - maybe intentionally by an insider who wants the job. And lets face it, Zacharia has a pretty great life and maybe the whole Washington vicious blood sport thing fighting adversarial media on a daily basis is just not her bag
Agree. She just didn’t know it. And anyone who thinks it was her decision to leave is delusional.
Agreed. And she never called herself an attorney at law. But El-Sayed has repeatedly called himself a physician.
That's not a gaffe.
Susie Wiles?
Oh, hey, now there’s a sexpot for ya’.
Oh, wait...
And he can do that all he wants - the State of Michigan defines it via licensure - whicb he doesn’t have. So he’s in violation in Michigan - running for Senate in Michigan.

Again - where’s the link. I saw lot’s of references to thi as like Fox introducing her that way and she didn’t correct it. But I looked and looked and found zero evidence she personally used any word other than lawyer.
Without a link or direct reference it didn’t happen.
I actually have to agree with you / confirm that one. (And most of your post.)
Like Liz said - she wasn’t out because she had a rocky first performance. She was out because she didn’t do what she needed to do to handle it and move past it.
