More than 21 years. Remember the 1968 student uprising, this time with white, native French students. When you’re French, riots are works of art. Mon Dieu! What a beautiful riot.

Perhaps the end game is declaring a State of Emergency, allowing them to arrest Le Pen and other opponents.
If you can’t get guns, use pickaxe handles, sling shots, the proverbial pitchforks. Any damned thing is a weapon. Guns, however, are deterrents. Just flash one, and the smart ones back off, and some of the stupid ones become smarter. The other substitutes must be used a few times before they get the message.

You are mistaken. An ape would not get mad because there are not enough bananas in the trees lately, and then burn them down in protest, and attack and maim other apes. They have more sense than that. They want bananas, so they go looking for more bananas.
I remember working in Nice, France, in the early 2000’s. I was shocked at the graffiti, plenty of Nazi symbols.
The anti-Jew immigrants have been coming for a while. It’s now hitting power-keg levels.

Even under the Nazis, there were no riots. Mass deportation of Jews, total suppression of dissent, sure. But they left the beautiful streets and buildings alone.

The “mostly peaceful riots” were more peaceful than this. A “whiff of grapeshot” against teenagers could become a replay of the George Floyd riots.
Water cannons, an Israeli crowd control method known as “the skunk,” a small drone that flies overhead and sprays an odiferous substance over the rioters that causes nausea and repulsive smells, or piercing sound shock waves, would be more effective. The Havana Syndrome Lite might also work.
