Backup, backup, backup.

The "3-2-1" Rule:

• 3 backup copies, on
• 2 different types of media
• 1 of which is offsite

If your data is in "the cloud" a good strategy is:

• One copy in a different cloud service
• One copy at your own ground facility
• One copy at a remote ground facility

Then the only hassle is keeping them reasonably up to date. But better to have week-old data than no data at all.

A better rule is out nothing on the cloud. If it is off your machine or network, it isn’t yours anymore.
