After decades of climbing the executive ranks at US companies, more men of Indian descent are now entering the boardroom. A record 16 Indian men joined S&P 500 boards this year, taking directorships at companies including Walmart Inc., Southwest Airlines Co. and Western Digital Corp., according to ISS-Corporate and data provider Equilar. Only White men and women added more seats.
The surge caps a longer shift. The share of Indian men among directors at Fortune 500 and S&P 500 companies has tripled since 2018, outpacing increases for women, Black and Hispanic directors, according to data from James Drury Partners.
The boardroom gains come as companies put increased emphasis on directors with chief executive officer or operating experience - credentials that many Indian business leaders have accumulated after decades in the US, according to recruiters and the executives themselves. Of the 184 Indian men on Fortune 500 and S&P 500 boards, 77 per cent have operating, or so-called profit-and-loss, backgrounds, the James Drury data show. Roughly two-thirds have held CEO roles.

In general construction I worked with another Senior Project Manager.
He assumed responsibility for a project when I started running a large project thousands of miles away. He was a viscous buyer, shopping numbers and leaving wrecked subcontractor relationships behind him. He increased the initial profit margin but subcontractors got even or went broke. Very cut throat with people I had relied on for decades.

This all began at Intel and Microsoft back in the early 90’s.
Vinod Dham was heading up the Pentium technical marketing and proceeded to take credit for the design and then covered up the floating point flaw.
He was quietly fired and then moved to Cyrix and then AMD bringing all the Intel secrets with him.
He then used all the $$$$ he got to setup H1b outsourcing operations for both Intel and Microsoft thru fake companies that kept his name off the books.
Using one of these fake companies, he scammed 100M out of Intel for some software he never delivered. Again the cash went into more H1b scams.
Nearly all are Brahmin and most treat Americans like untouchables.

Hindus consider non-Hindus to be worse than untouchables.
Well, at some point, America needs to decide on some basic points, like are we going to employ more U.S. citizens or more foreigners? I worked most of my life in automotive repair & the pay was often not what it should have been. Didn’t see any Indians hustling for those jobs. U.S. citizens should have had training for the good jobs & let the foreigners pickup on the low pay crap if they thought it was worth it. And this is not saying that automotive repair was NECESSARILY poor paying. It seemed to depend on the area where you worked, who you worked for, & the paid training that was available. Some did well, some did not.
Still saying they should have had to work their way “up the ladder” like so many of us & not necessarily getting the cream of the crop until they had “paid their dues”.
