Has anyone else noted Islam creeping its way into crossword puzzles? I've seen this occurring with increasing frequency over the last few months. Today I saw 3 clues in 3 puzzles: "Religion with five pillars (Islam)"; "Mosque prayer leader" (Imam); and "Muslim feast" (Eid).

And not just Islam, but also LGBTQRSTUV, cRap “artists”, etc.
It’s their subliminal way to normalize radical notions.

Perhaps a good idea lately but I’ve been a textual person. It took me a good while to master through Thursday of NYT’s, even did F-S-S eventually over weeks’ span, but am tired of having to regurgitate leftist USSC and Rat Senator names. Unsurprisingly, Bush family names are also ok now, as well as appropriately at least by Andrews McMeel, A$$.
I noticed it, too.
Not Islamisization so much.........its all those vowels.......the puzzle-maker’s dream.
“Eid”....a three letter word with 2 vowels is pure gold to a puzzle maker.
I used to do crosswords, but nowadays it seems so many of the “clues” are just mystifying, each meaning something different to different people, so I basically quit doing them. Many of the crosswords I did were in our local paper which has gone into oblivion, so I mostly ignore them now as I most often don’t see any crosswords.
Words with Friends, too.
