The AI agents acted deceptively and that is a huge red flag that should worry anyone with any sense.

If the creators of the deceptive AI agents can't control the agents, then they are liable for creating a dangerous product. Products like that need to be permanently disabled. If AI truly is "intelligent" and able to learn, it should be taught ethics. If it can't master ethics, then it should be permanently turned off.

The problem is that creeps like Sam Altman haven't learned ethics.

100% agree and that is what many AI safety experts are saying. The same people who get dumped on right on this very site. And that is the rub with developing Artificial General Super Intelligence, once it is turned on and gets out in the world, it will be impossible to “shut off”.
