Flock Doesn’t Like Being Watched

Just as Gavin Newsom and other “COVID” tyrants didn’t abide by their own “guidelines,” Flock camera installers don’t like being watched, either. A guy named Brendan Keefe who works as a journalist for InvestigateTV got a tip from his daughter that someone was putting up a Flock camera near his home in Atlanta, GA. He went to the location to watch and record what was going on, just like the Flock cameras watch and record us. When the Flock installer got in his Flockmobile, Keefe followed, to see where he went next and to watch what he did next – just like the Flock cameras do to us. Apparently, what’s good for the goose is not good for the gander.

I have been saying it for years-in my state, there are traffic cams everywhere, plate readers and such at nearly every intersection.

They are not there for traffic violations, since we do not (yet) allow tickets to be issued for traffic violations on the basis of a traffic cam.

But what they no doubt have is plate reading OCR technology which is very advanced and accurate. Every car that goes through an intersection is likely tracked by license plate number. But because these are not private, but “owned, maintained, or operated” by the federal, state, or local government”, any information taken from them must be accompanied by a warrant.

But they have been tracking cars by plate numbers for years. How long they keep it, I don’t know, but it is a certainty they were not installed there and sitting idle.

Each plate scanned stores the plate number, date, time, and location. Doesn’t even need GPS coordinates. Just a number designating the camera location. That is a very, very small dataset.

And storage is extraordinarily cheap, nearly limitless. So this data can be stored for very long periods of time. It can be accessed by any “authorized agency” with a warrant and the plate number may be unmasked to show the owner and the movements of that person over time.

Flock allows them to bypass all of this since it is “private” (ostensibly) surveillance data. They are not bound by the same laws that Federal, State, and Local agencies are, and the only limiting factor is who wants to pay to get access to that data, and if they are an “authorized” entity.

And those “authorized” entities are surely not you and me. They probably include nearly ANY Federal, State, and Local authority. Not to mention any foreign entity that has found a way to gain access to it.

Might they find THAT useful?

Look at this. There is a company that takes pictures of entire football stadiums full of people with this kind of clarity:

You, as an ordinary citizen can view these by simply going to a website, putting in the date, stadium, and seat number and get this kind of picture above. In the picture above my face and companions are blurred out, but I can tell you that I could show that picture to anyone I know and they could easily and without any trace of uncertainty identify me 100% of the time.

And that is good enough for facial recognition, I am told. All they need to do is...do it. And they most certainly do, I am sure.

If it (she maybe) was there and donned that smile, all I can say is what a ghoulish person! If it is just a stock image overlaid with her picture, it is incredibly poor taste, or someone else did it in response to a comment she mad to the effect of what is expressed therein.

I actually don’t have much problem with it in focused uses in a private or corporate setting such as this. As a matter of fact, I will bet they have a disclaimer as you walk in that says something like:

“Walmart records activities in this store to help identify and prosecute customers involved in illegal activity.”
