I liked the JJ abrams Star trek movies when I first watched them, but then realized later that they were typical JJ - flash and bang but eminently forgettable and definitely not star trek.

The JJ Abrmas movies traded thought-provoking diplomacy, science, and ethical dilemmas for generic sci-fi action, explosions, and frenetic pacing.

There was also his sloppy plotting—such as instantaneous “transwarp beaming” across galaxies or characters watching planets implode from nearby star systems—which ignored the established Star Trek (or even actual physcial) scale of space travel.

At least he didn’t put his trademark “mystery box” (Lost, DisneyWars etc) - so that’s there.

I just watched Dr. Who - The Lost Episodes on YouTube last night. It was a fan made production. I didn’t realize it was all AI until halfway through. It was The Who fans wanted all along, not the woke slop of the last ten years.

It will probably be taken down because the BBC will sue for copyright. Catch it now while you can.
