I hope the prosecution learned from this first trial, and will act accordingly during the 2nd.

11-1 is a big loss. My guess is she’ll never be sentenced.

No one lost anything. The prosecution CANNOT have a majority woman jury if there is a redo. That was foolish. I can see why they thought it would work, though. They might have thought the women would sympathize with the murdered kids. Whoops. No, they selected a bunch of witches instead

I disagree. I think they have to. She made the mistake of blurting out that she can’t take another trial, the poor lamb. Doing the whole thing over, with a delay of maybe another year, a sequestered jury, no tv coverage, and a better prosecutor, is tremendous leverage. Mind you, I think they’ll sell it cheap, perhaps manslaughter, but a few years, even with time served, plus a long life as a paraplegic, may be all the justice we get out of this debacle
