Was Gloria Steinem a CIA agent working to overthrow the family?

(LifeSiteNews) — Top feminist Gloria Steinem who died this week at age 92 may have been very different from her carefully cultivated public persona.

While she earned her reputation as the unrivaled leader of the feminist and pro-abortion movements, the connections that lay behind her public career perhaps tell a more complex tale.

There is no question that Steinem was once employed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She herself divulged her association with the spy agency in her 2015 memoir.

“She knew she was working for the CIA and said so herself,” LifeSite CEO John-Henry Westen noted in a video on Friday, adding that she defended her work with the CIA by saying, “In my experience, the agency was completely different from its image. It was liberal, nonviolent, and honorable.”

Podcast host Alex Jones suggested that rather than being a casual “operative” working to send young non-communist Americans to overseas youth festivals during the late 1950s through the early 1960s, Steinem remained a “deep, high-level CIA” asset whose mission was to break up the family, to turn women against men, and to train women to be “mind-controlled slaves of the state.”

Perhaps the most startling assertion from Jones about Steinem is that she worked under Paul Ehrlich, the infamous mastermind of the global depopulation movement.

According to Jones, under Ehrlich’s direction, she helped promote the notion that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should direct television content creators to portray large families in a negative light. Beyond that, Ehrlich and Steinem wanted the government to legislate family size and punish those who have too many kids.

“She was a CIA agent, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, under Paul Ehrlich as her director at the CIA, to destroy the family, and to turn women against men,” said Jones.

She was “a monster” Jones declared, “with a PR firm – the CIA – behind her to do all this.” By linking Steinem to Ehrlich, Jones has accused her of playing a role in the collapse of western civilization.

Jones offered little in the way of proof of Steinem’s connections to Ehrlich and the far-left organizations in his podcast presentation, but they’re all plausible.

Feminism had a long gestation period. By 1975, it had barely developed.

“...and to train women to be “mind-controlled slaves of the state.”

She was a smashing success on that one.

I knew a USAID operative whom I suspected of working for the CIA!

He manly worked in Latin America. However, in his later career he was an anti-Serbian operative supporting the Bosnian muslims!

We do NOT need operatives who discourage Americans from have children. The result is takeover by Third World immigrants!

From Wiki:

The Independent Research Service was a non profit[1] front organization financed by the Central Intelligence Agency[2][3] during the Cold War. Harvard University students were recruited to infiltrate[4] the USSR-controlled World Youth Festivals held in Vienna, Austria and Helsinki, Finland. Second-wave feminism leader Gloria Steinem revealed in a 1967 interview that she was its director from 1958 to 1962—the extent of its existence[1]— in full knowledge of who was backing the surveillance operation.

Peter Hitchens did note that bringing women out of the home into the workforce was beneficial in reducing the cost of labor by increasing the pool of workers in the workforce.

The CIA to me is a defender of liberal capitalism.

Liberal capitalism faced the challenge of inflation back around 1970 and ever since due to government overspending.

Keeping wages down was critical as ‘feminism’ and legalized abortion emerged on the scene 1970-75.

Liberal capitalism interpreted that way still means the subordination of human relationships to economic production. No wonder the Rockefellers were involved.

“Why did the CIA, specifically, want to overthrow the family?”

Great question.

The reality is that organizations do not have agendas—human beings do.

Once you figure out the human beings that had that agenda it will all start to make sense.

Who (what human being) gave Steinem her marching orders?

If we do not know the answer to that question we still have a lot to learn.

I think I know the name of that person—but I cannot prove it.

This is the guy I suspect:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Jesus_Angleton

Counterintelligence was his game—and Gloria was in that orbit:

Her Wikipedia article:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloria_Steinem

Key paragraph:

“In 1967, Steinem revealed in an interview with The New York Times that she had worked full time from 1958 until 1962 at the Independent Research Service, which was largely financed by the CIA.[31][113] As director of the Independent Research Service, Steinem had helped to organize groups of young people to attend World Youth Festivals in Vienna in 1959 and Helsinki in 1962.[113]...

Steinem defended her relationship with the CIA, saying: “In my experience the agency was completely different from its image; it was liberal, nonviolent and honorable.”

Then we would have to figure out who Angleton got his orders from—and I think I know that one as well...

Follow the bread crumbs down the rabbit hole...
