Sunscreen - well it Works, for those who burn very readily it has kept them (me included) from a lot of painful sunburn when you must get outside whether for work or play.
Happy for all of you that just get a nice tan and never burn!
I use SS when I have to and grateful for it, I really doubt those negatives are worse than fried skin, pain and peeling.
There is my Two Centss
There are sunscreens that aren’t poison. The ole zinc oxide still works wonders, but like the olden days, you have to reapply. It’s not waterproof and sweat proof.
I’ve been told by dermatologists that severe or repeated sunburns can turn cancerous later in life, so you’re probably wise to use it if you’re at risk.
I assure you that I am fair-skinned and have always been one who burns more easily than I tan. Stopped using sunscreen about 20 years ago. Lots of boating and yardwork, yet no burning.
When I burned as a teen, it was a case of being in the sun for hours and hours. For example, on family vacations to the ocean, I would ride the waves on a raft for hours at a time.
On the boat, as an adult, I made sure I spent some of the time in shade. At the beach, I sit under an umbrella.
The more I learn of sunscreen, the happier I am with my decision.
