It's simple button-pushing and Trump's the doesn't care. The more worked up they get the more they're exposed. The hatred contributes to the DSA momentum making it worse. Trump won't lighten up after November. Gonna be awesome.

There are a few funny videos in the post. Check it out. The YMCA song has gotta fry them the most because it’s so upbeat.

When they cry enough tears to overflow Lake Superior, they can rename it Lake Inferior.

From AI:
“The Biden administration renamed nearly 650 geographic features on federal lands and nine U.S. Army bases to remove derogatory terms and Confederate names”

The Canadians are also hypocrites when it comes to name changes:

“Canada spent years renaming streets, squares, universities, buildings and removing statues in the name of ‘reconciliation’ and ‘reconsidering history.’

Yonge-Dundas Square → Sankofa Square.

Ryerson University → Toronto Metropolitan University.

Amherst Street → Rue Atateken.

Cornwallis Street → Nora Bernard Street.

Langevin Block → Office of the Prime Minister and Privy Council.

Sir John A. Macdonald statues removed in Victoria, Regina, Kingston and Charlottetown.

Schools, parks and public buildings renamed across the country.

Then Trump renames Lake Ontario and suddenly Canada discovers: ‘YOU CAN’T JUST ERASE HISTORY!’ Apparently Canadian history is endlessly negotiable… until an American picks up the Sharpie.”

It’s not just leftists who are not amused at Trump’s juvenile antics.

Conservatives wish he’d act more mature.

That’s probably the secret sauce — he thought it was funny, and just did it.

But what keeps amazing me is the quality of his ear...even if the joke doesn’t seem to land right away, the reaction of his haters carries the gag over the line.

The hook in this case is what one wag posted on X: for a decade, the left has been renaming mountains, military bases, holidays, everything, and all in one direction. Trump turned that on its head with this, and the hypocrisy is, well, it’s hilarious.

And what does the devil hate more than mockery?

I think it’s a hoot that the left wants to rename Canadian Geese as Donald Ducks. You can’t take offense but rather embrace it and laugh. That will drive them nuts. It’s the only way to counter.

Trump did it to break the left’s cohones, and I think it’s hilarious.

My wife and I spent last week at our cottage in Michigan with another conservative couple. The husband, a hunting buddy, was one of the first people I ever saw wearing a MAGA hat back in 2015. Didn't have the TV on the entire week so we weren't being saturated by the media.

Despite that, both of them had a very negative reaction to the whole "Lake America" thing, and the guy said that he wished Trump would just "shut the hell up" sometimes and not keep running his mouth because it made him sound "like an idiot". He actually said "I can't even listen to him talk anymore".

That overall attitude is pretty representative of most Trump voters I personally know. We/they like his policies, but think he says a lot of stupid, cringe-worthy stuff. That said, we'd all still vote for him again, and still support most of his policies.

I'm sure there are other Trump voters who love all the "trolling" stuff he says, so I'm certainly not claiming my/our attitude is how all - or even a majority - of Trump voters think. But it is bogus to think the only reason anyone thinks that way is because of media brainwashing.

We certainly were able to use our own judgement to reject the tidal wave of anti-Trump media propaganda in 2016, 2020, and 2024. We all made our own decisions about him based on our own independent judgments about what he said and did, and that still applies. To the extent some of us who voted for us don't like every single thing he says and does, those are our own judgement, not the media's.

Lake America and the Gulf of America are silly and unnecessary. I love 98% of the things that DJT does...and 88% of the things he says. But those aren't two of them.

I want DJT to focus on Iran...wetbacks...government corruption and fraud...and other things. Not "Lake America".

Biden’s January 6, 2025 order tried to lock large stretches of the Gulf of Mexico out of new oil and gas leasing. Executive Order 14172 answered that in the other direction: it renamed those waters the Gulf of America and put that name on federal maps, lease files, and agency rules. The message is not subtle. Where the earlier order treated the Gulf of Mexico as a coastline to mothball, EO 14172 treats the Gulf of America as an American energy field — open for work, not closed by default.

Now, let’s see how Lake of America similarly unfolds. The story with Canada and Lake America, is not over. Let’s see how Alberta fits in as well...

How does the Lake appear to itself? How does it reflect in my experience and contrasts and compares to its self-actualization and experience.

I think no one should name it until it finds out whether it believes it is a sea, ocean, inlet, lake, or even if it identifies as the concept, water. What if it only identifies as ice because it prefers that state?

I mean, really, calling it a lake when it might not actually perceive itself as lake is aggressively speicific.

I say, wait. How do we know the (lake) isn’t sentient? Who decided this very anthropocentric idea that bodies of water aren’t aware?

I must admit I don't fancy the POTUS (whoever he may be) randomly renaming things, but it doesn't "trigger" me. For one thing it sets a bad precedent.

The current year left might be described as "the triggered people".

They aren't just indoctrinated, they are conditioned to have panic attacks and temper tantrums when faced with opposition.
