Yeah... so a terrifying percentage of content on X comes from bot accounts. Among the minority of accounts that are real people, too many are inventing fiction for click farming purposes.

The only silver lining is that Elon has hard coded X so those accounts can’t get monetized.

Actually Musk did a massive purge of millions of bot accounts after he took over, and has just done another purge of 200,000 fake/bot accounts just last week using Grok AI. There was a post about it.
I'd say by far the majority of accounts on X currently are genuine accounts. Still plenty of far left crazies there but they are real people for the most part.
You want bot accounts go to BlueSky.
