Donald Trump has unleashed his own bizarre personal ranking of former American presidents.
Unsurprisingly, Trump, 80, put himself at the top of the list as “The Greatest” of all time in his Thursday Truth Social post.
A generous Trump also declared former Presidents Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson to be “Great”, but not on his elite level.

My list of Great Presidents:
Trump, Reagan, Truman, Theodore Roosevelt, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, Madison, and Monroe.
Failures:
Biden, Obama, Clinton, Carter, Grant, Harding
I'd rank the rest as average.
I judge Trump by what he does and not what he posts and his trolling. Then again I don’t have TDS.

Simple answer, and totally grassroots.... Get the vote out locally. Individually. That's what little old folks like us do. Encourage voting. Work to "get out the vote."

The fixation on duration is truly bizarre here. It seem it’s nothing but another reason to dismiss something you don’t agree with. But please do let me know at what point I’m allowed to have an opinion that, coincidentally. seems to be shared with many people who have been signed up as long as I’ve been reading here. Do let me know what the rule is there.
I’m not apathetic because of a “silly social media post”. Voters are because they see non stop childish behavior and nothing that focuses on the issues they face day in and day out. Trump won on affordability. No matter what someone might want to say it hasn’t really gotten any better for most people. Food costs are still up. Energy has shot back up. Instead of doing what is needed for that we get “Nah all that is way down” like we can’t see it with our own damn eyes.
Get out the vote? Not happening until people feel like anything that matters to them matters to the people up top.

Trump is trolling here (at least I hope) so him putting himself at the top is just good fun. But I am offended that he put Ulysses Grant at the bottom of the list. That is Lost Cause BS that has been thoroughly debunked. Grant was the greatest Civil Rights president that we ever had in the truest sense of the phrase (not in today’s warped way that it is used). Grant simultaneously tried to heal the rift between North and South while giving blacks a place in US society. He also stabilized the economy by going back to the gold standard, which got rid of the Civil War inflation and reduced the US debt. He got rid of the income tax but maintained high tariffs (which Trump should love).
Trump doesn’t know the facts you posted. I bet he couldn’t write a paragraph about Grant’s presidency.
Isn’t woodrow wilson one of the people Glenn Beck had a few shows about- how evil he was?

I'm tired of defending stupid posts by Trump, even to friends who are fellow republicans. Its childish acts. Look at the reactions on FR, how do you think independent voters react to these posts? We are going to get killed in the midterms.

This list has almost no correlation with rankings by historians.
Digging into performance while President, the percent of the vote received by candidates of parties serving at the time as president, depends, positively, on economic performance and, negatively, on severity of bad wars(*); and hardly at all on scandals.
(*) judging from votes, all wars except three are bad; those three being Revolutionary, Civil and WWII.
But, according to historians, rankings are big-time negative on scandals, positive on (all) wars, and hardly at all on economic performance.
It looks as though the historians are a bunch of perverts. Bottom line is don’t trust the elites.
Now, about Trump, mostly the economy has been o.k, but there was the recession associated with COVID and the shutdown. Trump avoided war in his first term, but we’ve been at war most of his second. Scandal (not considered important by voters), I’ll leave for you to decide.

This, to me and the Missus, is evidence that the account manager ( or one of them, because no President spends time on social media messaging, given the fact that the national press salivates for interviews and such ) means this as a "troll."
It's the bottom of the list which amuses us. Biden is listed first, leaving Obama to run "second" and the "dead last" -- pardon the pun -- is Carter, whom we can think back to in terms of his handling of Iran's Islamists. It took Reagan's simple threat to gain release of Americans Carter could only wring his hands over so publicly.
What an interesting phrase to be found on a conservative site, looking for funding through donations.
One revisits the FR page to read, "When and if our participants decide we are no longer needed or viable, we will close down shop and go away."
