They are all getting worse. It’s not just GM
The new toyota turbo V6 has the same early failures. And they have the same “machining debris” excuse as GM, hyundai etc
Like they somehow forgot how to clean machined parts
They all have the same problems, turbos, direct injection, 0 viscosity oils, tiny narrow bearings, reduced bearing clearances, razor thin piston rings and oil scrapers, cam phasers, ...

There is a company that came out with the fix for the failing GM transmissions (I think they are 10 speeds) he is conviced the parts that are causing the failure were only put in to cause a failure. The only problem GM has is they are causing the failure while under warranty.
his product deletes those parts and claims the transmissions are bullet proof after his upgrade.
