I had chicken pox in 3rd grade, so I could get shingles, and am still debating whether to get the shot or not. Even if you get the shot there is no guarantee you won’t get shingles anyway...............
My cousin got a bad case of shingles then got it again after getting the shot(s). The shots put her in bed she felt so bad.
Both of my brothers got shot #1 (2 shot series). After that experience, neither is willing to get shot #2. One brother has had shingles & he still won’t do the 2nd shot. What the docs say is it may not keep you from getting shingles, but you may not get as bad a case.
