Conspiracy between Department of Health and various manufacturers of test kits?
Do you also think Neil Armstrong never set foot on the moon?
Not a conspiracy, just a confluence of interest.
The Chinese want to sell anything to stupid Americans and the people in the administration wanted a test that proved the the virus was virulent.
So, we get the cheap home test kit that was useless.
You don’t find it odd that that kit suddenly appeared. What kind of testing was the kit put through before its release.
When did we ever have a home flu test kit before?
>Using summary results for people suspected of having had contact with someone who has COVID-19, if 10,000 people without symptoms had the antigen test, and 50 (0.5%) of them really had COVID-19:
• 89 people would test positive for COVID-19. Of these, 60 people (67%) would not have COVID-19 (false positive result).<

A 67% false positive rate is less than useless.
And it cost a lot of people money. I got a test and tested positive, my employer forced me to stay at home with no pay for two weeks. I had to use vacation time.
