Kroger also owns the Tom Thumb convenience store chain and has been slowly converting them to their Cumberland Farms brand. I have noticed that the conversions suddenly stopped a while ago in our area so now, for a while at lest, we have both..........
Tom Thumb is owned by Albertson’s, not Kroger
Kroger does not own any Tom Thumbs, from my review. The specific “convenience store” form is owned by a firm out of England, “EG America” (Florida and Alabama are apparently is where most are). The “grocery store” big supermarket is owned by Albertson’s.
The version getting name changed is the UK convenience store brand.
I come from a strong “Kroger” area, so this was a chance to better understand.
