Well, it could be that baseball is gaining in popularity in the U.K., or cricket bats breat too easily.

Back when cops carried billyclubs, my pal kept one in his car, and got arrested for it. The arresting officer told him to carry a bat, instead. Not a weapon if you don’t use it.
