I suspect the nursing home was staffed by uninterested, unqualified friends, family members, and/or DEI hires who weren’t willing or able to do their job.
My in-laws were in a nursing home about a year or two prior to their deaths.
My mother-in-law suffered a stroke and needed around the clock 24/7 care. My father-in-law stayed with us in our home until he reached a point where he needed more care plus he wanted to be in the same home as his wife.
We were very fortunate that this was a privately run family owned nursing home. Not part of a chain. And the head nurse was a very good friend of ours .
