“Raising chickens is an excellent way to teach a kid work ethics and responsibility.”

We’ve been binging on reruns of “The Incredible Dr. Pol” on NatGeo Wild. Those farm kids are amazing. Tough. Smart. Responsible. Hard Working.

I read about some military guys being asked their opinions about women in the field with them. They all sort of agreed that the only females that were worth a lick, and that could be counted on, were farm girls.

I was in the very first Training Battalion of co-ed Army Basic Training, 1979, Fort Jackson, SC.

I had NO problems with the ten mile road marches, learning to fire an M-16, tossing grenades, land navigation...but it was VERY tiring dragging all those City Boys along with us Country Gals ever day, LOL!
