Modern day dialogue doesn’t bother me in movies. Imagine if they made a movie using YE OLDE ENGLISH as the language, we couldn’t understand a word of it.
No matter how ancient the tongue, it’s the substance that counts.
As for historical errors of costume, weapons or even ships (I read that they used a Viking era design in the movie) Nobody outside of a small cadre of academicians would even know such things.
