Thanks to Albion Wilde for putting this Savoy thread together! It opened in December, 2021 but has already received acclaim from other 1st class car museums around the nation.
As Albion Wilde noted, what makes this museum so special (and crazy, for the volunteers, at least) is that one gallery changes every month, so it does not remain static but is in a constant flow of “new” exhibits. For example, this is the final weekend for “Wood You Believe It” the Woodies display. On Monday the staff will roll in a selection of significant cars from the Historic National Registry.
Haven’t even mentioned the absolute state-of-the-art presentation theater where movies are shown once a month and live, in-person monthly “Tireside Chats” usually hosted by Ken Gross and/or Wayne Carini.
