The question is - would he use modern Greek or Mycenean Greek?

The Greek spoken by the Myceneans who attacked Troy would be unintelligible to modern day Greeks

Mycenaean Greek nouns inflected for seven distinct cases:
1. Nominative: Indicates the subject of the sentence.
2. Accusative: Indicates the direct object of an action.
3. Genitive: Indicates possession, origin, or reference. (The PIE ablative case had already merged into the Mycenaean genitive).
4. Dative: Indicates the indirect object or recipient of an action.
5. Vocative: Used for direct address or calling out to someone.
6. Instrumental: Denotes the means, tool, or instrument used to perform an action. It frequently used the distinct plural suffix -phi.
7. Locative: Indicates a physical location or place where something happens.

This is similar to modern-day Polish ONLY in terms of the 7 cases and HIGHLY similar to Sanskrit in grammar - though Sanskrit has eight noun cases (the seven listed above, plus the Ablative).

It would be great if it were in Greek with subtitles, like The Passion was in Aramaic and Latin.

After Gibson made Apocalypto back in 2006, we were sure that Hollywood would praise him for being historically accurate.

Nope, just more of the same mice gnawing on ropes complaining that we have come to expect from the glitterati.

We have to assume it would be in English, like the modern translations.
