An Arizona man burst into flames when a cop tasered him next to a gas pump that caught fire, horrifying footage shows.
Clarence Coyl suffered burns across his hands after igniting when the federal wildlife officer deployed the stun gun at Thalypo gas station on July 16.
The lawman had followed him to the store after catching him allegedly driving with a friend through an open gate at Havasu National Wildlife Refuge 20 minutes earlier.
Coyl told Fox 10 Phoenix: “He goes, ‘You guys came through the gate, didn’t you? Leave now. Get out of here.’
“I’m like, ‘OK’ and he got really snotty, and he says, ‘Well, I’ll give you a ticket,’ and I say, ‘Give me a ticket, you gotta trespass me first.”
He then drove to a nearby Thalypo gas station where the U.S. Fish and Wildlife officer confronted him.
The flames begin with the officer — sporting a shaved head and black sunglasses — pointing his taser at the man.
“You’re gonna go to jail, all I’m asking for is your license right now to identify you …” the officer shouts.
“What am I being arrested for?” Coyl said.
“You are not cooperating for having committed a crime …” the officer says back.
“What? A misdemeanor? A misdemeanor a–hole. It’s a $10 …” he says, before the crack of the officer’s stun gun deploying cuts him off.

90% are exceptional people who do a dangerous, thankless job.
I have all the respect in the world for them.
On whole, I “ back the blue” but following a guy who complied with your DNR “officer” orders and then zapping him puts you in that sketchy 10%.
What happened seems unnecessary.
What was the crime he was allegedly resisting against?
Sorry Homer, all I saw was an over zealous LEO who refused to answer the victim's request of what he was being detained for.
One local DNR “ officer” had himself running his is own little” speed trap” on the mountain east of me.
He’s hired to deal with wildlife and hunting stuff, not policing normal traffic, so why?
🧐
*groan*
Not near gas pumps they aren't.
And this incident was.
.
Listen, I know the cop was in a difficult position. The victim wasn't an angel either. However, the dept knows the cop was in the wrong in this particular case, as they made no further contact, physical or legal, after the cop burned the guy with his taser. That should tell us something.
I have a message for doctors. All of them.
CLEAN UP YOUR ACT.
You know the bad actors...the incompetent, the morons, the condescending...in your profession. Get rid of them, or your no better than them.
Heal yourselves, or you will be healed...and you won’t like it.
Doctors kill A LOT more people than LEOs.
Now...doesn’t that sound stupid?
You or someone close to you has obviously had a bad interaction with a police office. Can you show me on this doll where the bad cop touched you?
You see, a sane person would realize that, being comprised of human beings, EVERY profession has bad actors. There are reckless pilots, crooked politicians, arsonist firefighters, day care workers who are pedos, bad plumbers, bad electricians, incompetent engineers...all of whom take their toll on the greater population. What makes police officers different is that the VAST majority selflessly put themselves in harms way to protect us from the REALLY bad actors. For you to paint them all with same brush is stupid and immature.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
PS - my grandfather died in the line of duty, protecting the citizens of Paterson, NJ. You aren’t worthy to sniff his farts.
“You don’t argue with these idiots for more than 15 seconds.”
I don’t know what’s so hard about that! It’s something everyone should have a sit down talk with all youth. Teach your children well
FAFO🤷🏻♂️
Most of the police videos I’ve seen show folks with at least 100 times more patience for stupidity and arrogance than I ever had. Maybe 1000 times more than what I have as an old man who sees to many articles with leads like,
“The shooter had 273 prior arrests and 37 convictions, including rape. He was out after being charged with child molestation...”
Or to be the next drummer for Spinal Tap.
Yeah, I got billy clubbed and had the cloth headliner torn out of my car by cops in the late '60s.
We’re not talking about physicians.
We’re talking about armed, uniformed public servants.
They need to clean up their act. They need to hold each other accountable ... or they will be held accountable in ways they won’t like. That’s just a simple fact.
Take your personal insults and shove them.
I shall waste no more of my time on you.
Most of the police videos I've seen show ignorant, arrogant idiots in fancy blue costumes who are way too quick use as much force as they think they can get away with.
He was out after being charged with child molestation...”
That kind of stuff isn't the cops' fault, it's the judges' ...
I’m sure they’ll be making a TV movie out of it.
If there were any good cops, there wouldn’t be any bad cops.
Mask up! Only two weeks to stop the spread! You must obey the government overlords at all time!!
This officer definitely should go to jail. What made him think using a taser while the guy was pumping gas was a good idea.
See my previous post with a link to the YouTube video. This officer is in big trouble, IMO.
