"What the hell are you talking about"

As one of the more bizarre books I have read (or, am in the process of reading), 'Empire Beneath the Ice, by Stephen Quayle', proposes that the Nazis set up underground bases in Antarctica, housing their flying saucer fleet, and in a way they actually 'won' WII. It might just be happenstance, but Admiral Byrd did lead a naval force down to Antartica shortly after WWII (Operation High Jump), and they came back somewhat battered (lost men, and planes). The natural reason given was that the losses were due to the bad weather, but the book posits that the damage was inflicted by the flying saucer fleet.
And then you have the July 1952 incident of flying saucers buzzing over Washington, DC. And then in the late 1950s, basically all the World's nations declared Antarctica off limits. Ostensibly to protect the penguins and environment, but that sounds unlike anything that is normally done...

So I echo the 'Seriously, What?' comments. Does the 'German Stations in Space' tie into these Antarctica incidents, or is this all nonsense? I don't know, but when I saw the 'German Stations in Space' lede, it reminded me of this Empire Beneath the Ice book, so I had to comment. Nazi underground bases in Antarctica? Sounds bizarre, but the world is a weird place, and we're just fed information that our overlords want us to believe - and nothing else that deviates from the narrative.

Yep, always been that way.

He was also somewhere else speaking at a conference in Europe at the same time. The Antarctic bit is just internet fluff.
