It’s a crazy thing in general, how Americans are obsessed with gas prices. And I do get that for some folks who must drive a lot, it’s a very big deal.
But I had an older relative who would drive over to the next town because gas there was two cents a gallon cheaper. Not kidding. I tried to explain to her it took gas to get there and back. Plus there’s the wear and tear on the car.
Nope. I never could make a dent in her thinking.

Yes. I have observed over my life that people are totally irrational about gas prices and their search for “lower” prices.
Well during Biden’s term I sure saw a lot of people on this very web site bitching about gas prices.
My Father in law would ride around looking for gas that was one cent cheaper. And this was when gas was $1.25 a gallon back in the 90’s It made zero sense but that’s just the way he did it.
I live in California and yes, we have abnormally high gas prices. Hubby was complaining about them the other day. I said...what do you care? The only place you go is to Walgreen’s and back. lol
