If you have a WinCo in your area, they have much better prices.

Beat me to it. Winco has the best prices, though vegetables and fruit are usually the next grade down from the quality available in the bigs

I remember Winco prices … from the 1980s.

Wow!

Employees all have stock in the company, and are really trying hard.

Correct on WinCo. I call horsefeathers on on Kroger being the cheapest. Here in Phoenix, Aldi and WinCo blow away Kroger. Smart & Final is neck and neck. Kroger (Fry’s) beats out Safeway/Alberston’s and Basha’s, and is neck and neck with Walmart, with Kroger/Fry’s having better selection and produce/meat.

In the upper midwest, Aldi is cheaper, and Woodman’s has VASTLY superior selection and better pricing on most items than the competition. (I think Kroger sold its stores to Schnuck’s in Rockford, IL area).

Winco is good for tomatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, other produce (sometimes) and specials. .

Aldi is good for yogurt, salmon, bread, dark chocolate.

Costco is good for quality/organic at a good price, especially their reduced price booklet.

Sam’s is good for mushrooms, cauliflower, and pasture eggs.

Absolutely. The article is a joke.
