You’re right. Perhaps more September games should be played in the southern hemisphere where the weather is more spring-like. The billion dollar stadiums here would lose out. Japan has plenty of money. They could start the below equator games a week before Labor day. It’s not their holiday. West coast teams should all play a game in Hawaii. If it’s all about money they should do it.

So a city is threatened to have its football team leave unless it builds a 2 billion dollar stadium that will usually have 8-9 meaningful games a year, only to lose one of these to London or Rio De Janero.
