In the late 1800s and before, a DC politician was shunned and denigrated by his elected colleagues if they put their political party before the good of the country. We need to get that back!

Wow is Van Jones one to talk. I remember seeing him on TV during the riots wearing his Revolutionary Marxist Brigades t-shirt. He subsequently became a highly paid token radical for the news media.
