When people consider a product like Netflix to be a necessity, subscriptions hold steady or increase. When the audience considers it to be a luxury, subscriptions will decrease. I pay an extra $10 per month to get the actual Turner Classic Movies channel, because it is the first channel I check when I turn on the TV. If they continue to change their product because of what they have available to show, it might reach the point where it becomes an alternative, not the first thing I check.

When that happens, will it still be worth an additional $10 per month or whatever the rate might be in the future? Maybe not for me.

I used to love TCM but their programming choices in the last few years has been disappointing and the woke hosts/hostesses turn me off. But that is my opinion and may mostly be based on the fact that I considered the Osborne years superior to the present. I even think their yearly TCM Remembers to be lacking.
